Nostalgia Poem by Fitsroy Randall

Nostalgia

Rating: 5.0

It's not just the pitter-patter of rain on the zinc roof
Not just the joyful laughter of children playing
Not just the rustle of the leaves
It's not just the river gushing along
It's not just the nightingale singing
It's not just the old plum tree shedding it's leaves
it's not just the noise of traffic bustling along the once lonely road
It's not just the early morning sun making it's way across the horizon
It's not just these happy memories that gives this nostalgic feeling
It's the beating of your heart
It's the smile upon your face
It's the first time you touched me
It's the first time you hugged me
It's the aroma of your body
It's the tone of your skin
It's the beauty you hold
You give me the feeling of nostalgia
It's my longingness to touch you
My longingness to touch you
I'll see you on the other side
When we can be together
Until then I'll just hold these memories
I will continue to be nostalgic

Beautiful memories to behold. A heartwarming piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned from inner recesses of the heart with conviction. An insightful depiction of nostalgic feelings of love and romantic, elegantly brought forth. Thanks for sharing Fitsroy. Please read my poem CHILDREN OF CRUEL FATE.
