Elation it is
When festival comes
And brings happiness along
It comes for a few moments
But gives one's soul
Life's quintessence
Immersed in merriment are all
Be it children, men or women
As if their only goal and only goal
But tears are seen rolling down
At the time of departure of idols
Happiness comes with the arrival
Sadness descends with the departure
The arrival of any deity
Is like the arrival of a new being
Akin to the human circle of life
And the end comes after staying
A few days amongst human beings
Since Gods die not, they just depart
Immersion processions of idols
Become a cause for celebration
Since idols were made of clay
They are returned back to their source
Hence departure is not the end of the being
But the beginning of another journey
Thus ensuring the return of festivities
Every year same time with testimony
indeed...departure signals the beginning of another journey
Arrival is always a matter of pleasure and departure, tinted with sadness! But the sorrow of each departure is lessened by the thought that there will be still arrivals in future! A great poem! Enjoyed!
