Not alone

I see it in your eyes, the pain although
I try to do all I can, The words echo
Your illusions bestow
a false numbness, but I see your sorrow

Into yourself you withdrew
You didn't expect that I would go after you
I came to your rescue
I aim to remain true

I see it in you eyes, the pain although
I try to do all I can, the words echo
Your illusions bestow
a false numbness, but I see your sorrow

You try to make do
Hide the tears in your eyes so blue
But I know you knew
Knew I would see-through

And do you know who
Is much like you?
You and me, that makes two

Poem of the Day

I

Our life is twofold; Sleep hath its own world,
A boundary between the things misnamed
Death and existence: Sleep hath its own world,
