Not Everybody, Who Looks Like Us, Loves Us Poem by Hebert Logerie

Not Everybody, Who Looks Like Us, Loves Us

Not everybody, who looks like us, love us
Be open-minded
Not everybody, who is around us, likes us
Be open-minded
This world is littered with hypocrites who will stab
Us in the back, who will do anything to grab
Power, to divide our people, to conquer at all costs
At any price. We need to tell the boas to get lost
We must chase them out of today's civilization
We must rebuke and reject them, we must take action.

Not everybody, who stands next to us, is our friend
Be vigilant
Not everybody, who applauds us, wants to give us a hand
Be vigilant
We are surrounded by conniving haters and backstabbers
There are fools who cannot identified their oppressors
There are cowards who're afraid to fight for their rights
There are ignorant people who cannot see their plights
My fellow Poets, we've been fighting tyrants and goons for centuries
And our Ancestors want us to keep fighting the shady mercenaries.
