Not Promised Tomorrow Poem by Randy McClave

Not Promised Tomorrow

Say your sorry today
From what you did yesterday,
To your vindictiveness and anger please concede
A tomorrow we none are guarenteed.
If you have done or said or did someone wrong
Remember on earth we are not here for that long,
So, while you are here living
Sorrys from your wrongs you should be giving.
Don't live in misery and in grief
Knowing unto someone you came unto them like a thief,
You stole their trust and also their smile
When them you did knowingly and happily did defile.
Don't live in that sorrow and all that guilt
That is not how we none by God were built,
If you do a wrong, for your forgiveness just confess
Then your soul God will most certainly bless.
I could not imagine peacefully going to bed
Knowing I had caused someone heartache or dread,
The heavens are so bright and beautiful and starry
When from your guilt and sin you say that you are sorry.
Don't have nightmares while you sleep
Those harmful feelings are what the Devil will reap,
It's sad to willingly live a moment in anger or sorrow
Remember, we none are promised a tomorrow.
