Not Until When Poem by Damon Harper

Not Until When

Wait, slow down.
I take in a deep breath, and hold it.
Just until my lungs begin to burn and head begins to draw the black veil.

I feel my mind slip further away from itself.
I gasp, franticly gulping the air with the deep desire to live.
I slowly crawl back to the moment.

Wait, slow down.
Wait, slow down.
