November Poem by Josey Alfred

November

Rating: 5.0

For Christians all over the world
November is a month revered
For they pray for their bereaved
Kit and kin those left us from world.

While some are kept alive by fate,
To be victims of cruel treat
When own children ignore or hate
They whimper and curse their own fate.

Those left aside, withering old ones,
Linger in this hapless world alone
These mortals are in a silent world
They feel their world has gone cold.

These children too may in turn weep
For they know not what crime consumes
Crime levees a deep scar in their mind
Future will expose those morbid wounds.

Stubborn youth enslaves own shame,
And add insult to parents at home
Though they know crime begets crime
Deceitful their heart ignores crime.

May be next year, they may just mourn,
Deeply for their parents, would be gone
A fathom beneath the muddy soil
Then they in public may just mourn.

All Souls' Day is celebrated on the first week of November, when we pray for all departed souls! We grieve over and pray for our parents when they are dead. But we ignore our aged parents while alive! This paradox is extremely strange and this poem is a hard punch on the hypocrisy of the new generation! A great write!
