Now I Am The One Poem by Malory Joyce

Now I Am The One

I wear your key around my neck
holding on tight to it
trying to keep you with me.

It's like crossing the street again
holding onto your hand
when you'd walk with me.

You’re singing me to sleep,
still played in my head till morning,
and you woke up with me.

Then heaven couldn't let you stay,
no, they do as they may,
even taking you away from me.

Now I am the one, who will sing,
even though I can't, don't blame me,
It helps better than counting all those sheep,
because you can't sing to me.
Now I am on my own two feet,
still trying to carry on your dream.
sometimes I fall beneath,
because your not here to lift me.

I wear your key around my neck,
holding on tight to it,
trying to keep you with me.

I had two, now I am down to one
but I am not done,
please oh' please stay with me.

Life is hard without you here,
I’m too insecure,
If only; if only your with me.

My singing is not good enough,
but I wont give up,
just don't give up on me.
