Now Is Nearly Gone Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Now Is Nearly Gone

Rating: 5.0

So brief the sunshines glow
The lavenders bloom
Or the dusks purple calm
Too quick is the gloom
For far too soon
The Winter snow it
Melts
Upon the earth's
Sodden ground
As the morning dew
Upon the lawn
Lingering near
Not a sound
So go ahead
And write that song
Sing that sweet melody
Go ahead and run
barefoot in the sand
With your naked feet
In natures reverie
For lesser times
And things
Give away your
Deepest of love
Hold Pink Tulips
In your grasp
And visulize
With clear eyes
The purest of hope
From our God above

Theodora, what a lovely flow to this poem, almost musical in its delivery. The season of change. I loved it. Top Marks from me. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David
