Nowhere To Be Found Poem by Daniele Cerasoli

Nowhere To Be Found

This path that I tread
There's nowhere to hide
I walk through the bloodshed
And you walk beside.

We'll lean on each other
For the long road ahead
We're like a sister and brother
And we'll face what we dread.

On this road, I grow weary
With every passing day
You too, become dreary,
So all I do is pray.

Now here, at this tree
The road splits in two
I ask you to follow me
Though I know I've lost you.

I walk alone on this long road
With my shattered shame
The land begins to erode
While I shout out your name.

Nightfall has come
And you're nowhere in sight
It all looks so glum
This pitiful plight.

Alone in the night
Because you abandoned me here
Though alone, I fight,
I am not faced with fear.

Though I'm in black
The sun will soon rise
Revealing a lilac
Covered in lies.
