Nowhere To Hide
nowhere to hide
except for an instant
under the wave
rock now sand
golden in the green underbelly
of the wave
and she says
mocking an instant
I'm your rock
fresh faced unworn
and there is calm in my mouth
for an instant
hair curls navelwards
hand breaks against the rock
in timeless eddies
no place to stand
in the sand's struggle
for the land under the sea
