Nuke Surf The Web Poem by Ima Ryma

Nuke Surf The Web

What would become the Internet,
U.S. Department of Defense
Started so just in case, was set
If nuclear bombs made past tense
The picking up of phones to chat.
The cold war was never turned real hot,
So Defense said enough of that.
Now Internet is what we've got.
Of course, we've still got loads of nukes.
Who knows how many in what hands.
The world is full of crazy kooks.
The time is running out of sands.

When nuking comes in fiery calls,
Back to drawing on some cave walls.
