Numbing Myself To You
numbing myself to your name
so when i hear it i don't flinch
i ignore all thoughts, all smiles
that have to do with you
and maybe, just maybe somehow
this way i'll make it through...
your name has not the power,
and neither does your thought,
to make me hurt, to make me cry
to make me live to die
and i'll keep lying to myself this way
so that maybe, just maybe
it'll be true someday
