O Death Poem by Nebe Albert

O Death

Fair and calm,
Easy and free as the wind,
Blow through the heart that understands your simple nature,

Sad and lonely,
Painful and hurts as death,
It hurts the heart and leaves the heart lifeless as it abides

Heavy and strong,
Burdens the voice and Pierce the heart,
A thousand thorns at a point,

Speak I softly as I speak of it,
Tears in my eyes and my heart bleeds,
you have departed and sorrow abides.
