Keep the small nut
lovely poetry...
My dad never gave me a cycle
I recycled all
found in garbage tins...
lots of guys know
no worth of many things....
rich ignorant guys are they....
one may say
what the hell it's only a bolt
but when they need one
and can't find it
it's then that they get a jolt
the whole flush system
has to be replaced
they forgot those days
when in school they were taught
but for a shoe nail
the horse was lost
and replacement at what cost!
ask them not
they will shrug it off
What a great poem is it! I am shocked as to why such a thoughtful poem remained ignored by all, including myself. I regret I should have read this lovely poem earlier. I do the same thing, whenever I see a nut or bolt lying on the road, I pick it and keep it with me and when this small nut or bolt is utilized by me, I am glad that I avoided a mechanic and one of the machinery I have is once again in working condition. I congratulate you for writing such a wonderful poem.
