Like a rain to a parched earth,
Like a long lost traveller rediscovering his road,
The body and soul celebrate your appearance!

Ramadan, O month of forgiveness…
A time for human fraternity,
To experience deprivation,
To practice solidarity, justice and dignity.

The faithful will bask in your light of spirituality,
To pray and to weep,
For the soul to rise to lofty goals,
To reflect and to love, this single great human family.
