O Troubled Friend, Listen To My Words Poem by Obed dela Cruz

O Troubled Friend, Listen To My Words

Today you have seen the darkness of day
And your life’s clouds turned to color gray.
Sometimes you’re confused if it’s day or night
For you can’t see any amount of light.

The shams in this world and its wretchedness
Became your ghosts and they make you restless.
Your past mistakes became your predator
And now, you don’t want to live anymore.

O my friend, please always remember this
Gray clouds won’t stay and soon you will find peace.
Don’t ever give up and just hold on tight
You’ll find light and your life will be alright.

O listen to my words, you can trust me.
I was in pain too but now I am free.
All your sorrows will surely meet their end.
Stand now and never quit in life, my friend.
