Obsession Poem by Asit Kumar Sanyal

The Taj Mahal is an obsession
People thinks... this is it's beauty
that makes it so
But I feel
everything of it is an obsession
It's art, plumbing, history, even it's
mathematics, physics and chemistry.

Taj was essentially a Mughal monument
but with a fair blending of
Hindu and Muslim art
It's location.... once was
the garden of Raja Mann Singh
with a mansion to the west
destroyed to built the mausoleum.

Was it designed by a Rajput
or a Mughal?
