Odd Pets Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Odd Pets

I had a purple pilchard
It jumped off out the gate
And ran off with monkey
With a cerulean pate
I had a most curmudgeonly
Pink moth with sphincter scabies
Its best friend was an aardvark
With a bad attack of rabies.

I opted next for roadkill, stuffed
A most harmonious pet
For it required no feeding
And no visits to the vet
