Ode To A Swallowtail Poem by Nancy Chambers

Ode To A Swallowtail

Plant Parsley and Dill in Spring and daily watch
First for eggs and then the Stripys to hatch
So small at first
But theychomp and munch
Till they almost burst
Then off to a chrysalis they spin
Changing, rearranging, emerging
As Swallowtails
That take to the wind.
