Of Dogs And Gods Poem by RIC BASTASA

Of Dogs And Gods

as the dogs bark
on the trees

the barks of trees
are silent

as the dogs bark as
the gods remain silent
and stark

blunt and crude
the black gold ruled

the black sheep
comes and father
runs to offer beef

the good sheep says
ba ba ba black sheep
my envy is steep.
