Oh! Chariot Of Elijah Poem by Yewande Adedokun

Oh! Chariot Of Elijah

I heard about you
I want to know how fast you can go
How far you can carry your passengers into the wind with no trace
Come take me away

I no longer make meaning to the road on my feet
I want to fly away from my shames and failures
What do I do so you come my way?
I have no one to remember me when I am gone
I will cause no one pain
I have done very little, memories made will easily erase

I still wait at this shore of grace
To see how you were made. Do you ride in the wind's peace?
I have no one else to llift me from my pains and worries
