Oh Christmas Tree Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Oh Christmas Tree

Oh Christmas Tree

Oh Christmas tree, could it be
You smiled at me
Right now?
If you did it would matter to me how.

Oh Christmas tree, I know you
Because I decorated you it's true.
I placed gold balls
And snow lace on you.

You suddenly turned around and said.
How great it was to be treated this way.
The ribbons and candy canes
All stood out to play.

Oh Christmas tree, could it be
You smiled at me?
Yes, said the Christmas tree,
Because you decorated me.
