Oh Dear! Poem by Ash Parker

Oh Dear!

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear!
What a lotta trouble I get into just cause I care!
Do I scream out or cry in despair!
Or do I roll on the floor and laugh with dramatic flair!
My little angel, just cause I dare!

Your antics and eccentrics instead of mathematics,
No no, those tricks won’t do! Won’t fix!
But will get you a thousand sticks.
Oh no little boy- no can do!

Didn’t you know, life’s not about you,
It’s about those around…
Stand on queue, pay you due,
And please, mind your p’s and q’s
Or you will get oohs and boo’s…
Babes, you surrounded by fools,
Conform to their Rules!

You have your own perfect smile,
Your carefree style,
Playful and wild…
Oh, that won’t do!
How horrendous and vile!
This world does not cater for you child!
You are not still, submissive and quiet.

A world created for perfection,
Has no place for such defection.
Hidden away in isolation,
Gives them a false sense of satisfaction…
That life’s about blunder free creations!

Come on baby, we can do it!
Let’s break free!
I beg to differ, refuse to agree,
Let’s show them what Einstein couldn’t see.
Let’s break the shackles that confines
The lost him, her, you and me…
Let’s show the world, anyone can be!
Disabilities, inabilities, are all possibilities…
Lets caste away the negativities…
For more successful realities.
Let’s make this world prejudice free!

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear…
What a lotta nonsense we will hear.
But courage and hope, we will embrace.
And treat everyone with dignity, respect and grace…
we will force them to face.
