Oh, Lover! Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Oh, Lover!

If you serenade
A woman, pounce high
And don a golden veil
Oh veiled, highfaluting lover!
Cross the oceans out of
Her mouth, and stifle her lips
With a paroxysm of gentle breeze,
Oh emollient and slicing lover!
If you let her die, or cascade
With the rain, go with her
There is such beauty in a woman
That falls in the deep excavations
Of a man,
Oh deep and vacuous lover of a woman
So frail!
