Oh Was It You Poem by Josephine Dunn

Oh Was It You

Oh Was It You

Oh was it you
Who drank with me
And said "one more
Will be OK"
Oh was it you,
Oh was it you?

Oh was it you
Who shared your stash
And said, "its cool
You'll get real trashed."
Oh was it you,
Oh was it you?

Oh was it you
Who saw my smile
And said, "Its fine, "
And went your way,
Oh was it you,
Oh was it you?

Oh was it you
Who turned me away
Saying you had new
Friends to stay
Oh was it you,
Oh was it you?

Oh was it you
Who said you'd call,
Thought one more day
Won't matter at all
Oh was it you,
Oh was it you?

Oh was it you
Who saw me fall
And then could barely
Speak at all
Oh was it you,
Oh was it you?

Oh did you know
I needed love
And fail to give
The smallest hug
Oh was it you,
Oh was it you?

And if I ask
"How could it be"
Will you say,
"It was not me,
It was not me! "
