Oil Well Roads Poem by John McCornack

Oil Well Roads

Many oil well roads go across country
To places where very few people tread
It is where untamed beauty has spread
But now I must hit the trail back home

But maybe tomorrow I will be back here
With my Sony digital camera in my hand
If I am sober and the creek don’t expand
I will be looking for new places to roam
