Old Enough To Remember Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Old Enough To Remember

Take this day, just an ordinary day
Be patient, see what it brings
Time shifts as the sparrow
takes flight upon rapid wings

The air has a freshness
never before explored
The energy glows and excites...
Time chases thoughts that are restored

Propelled into a realm that repeats
timeless images and sounds
Shifting to memories of youthfulness...
a time where agelessness abounds

Experiencing a magical performance
that inspires the secret of laughter...
a time when carefree innocence prevailed
concluding with happily ever after

As though surrounded by a spell
that weaves yesterday into today
Creating the simultaneous existence
of a splendid sunrise and a spent day

Age does give us the memories to look back on the past decades and when younger the laughter the carefree life, the last lines ends the poem perfect, that weaves yesterday into today...very nice regards
