Old Faded Blue Chair Poem by Nicole GravellPellerino

Old Faded Blue Chair

That old faded blue chair
where you sat
tells tales of old and simple times,
a familiar place
that greeted us
with a loving hear and open arms

You were ancient and wise
a rugged storyteller,
making each of us
feel safe and secure
with a strong hug and gentle kiss,
we felt fearless and bold with you by our side

your knowledge and imagination
painted my young mind
coloring it with
tales of days gone by
your smile hug and reassuring hand
was all we needed

As I sit in your old faded blue chair
memories of yesterday
coming flooding back
as the tears flown down my face
my aching heart smile and warms
remembering all the good times we shared
