Old Warrnambool Town Poem by Francis Duggan

Old Warrnambool Town

People of all shades from many Nations of black, white and brown
A multicultural place is old Warrnambool Town
A person from anywhere you well may meet
In the restaurants and the cafes along Liebig Street
Most people in Warrnambool the fair go embrace
And they do not judge people by colour or race
In Warrnambool no such a thing as us against they
The Rural Coastal City the place of fair play
A freshening coastal breeze blows up from Lady Bay
Through a great City to live in and grow old and gray
The freshness of the sea air at all times of year
In a place to my heart that remains ever dear
A landscape that poets and artists inspire
Of singing it's praises could one ever tire.
