(!) On Death Poem by Alice Cuenca

(!) On Death

Rating: 4.3

A darkening cloud forewarned
of a winter storm advancing.
But even so, oblivious.

'it was a springlike weather
hours ago'.

It's March still. The howling
chill is crystalizing
the thawed snow.

Meters away, is a figure
braving the storm
appears like a blur.

A haze conceals
my undiscerning stare.

What's beyond i disown.
An untimely death
is not a betrayal.

I left my door ajar...

sometimes in a day of solitude you had a thought like this..but its up to one individual to go to this consequence without fear to God...nice provoking thoughts..10

A nice thoughtful poem Candice. But let the forces of life overpower death! I tried to say this in my 'That 'K' Constant...' poem. With best wishes. -Raj Nandy

I felt this many times over, its never easy but inside there's a strength that climbs through that drags us away from the darkness when we're at our deepest of the painful abyss
