On His Name Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

On His Name

It is marred by egoism
That keeps away humanism
We do not care poor
And always show the door

For poor God is different
For rich it is apparent
We put great pomp and show in church
But do not go for sincere search

I came across religious person
He was forcing me to believe only Jesus with reasons
I begged him with simple excuse
As I could neither agree nor refuse

We all believe that God is one
Yet we try to dominate by His name
Muslims preach and hold single master
Many other religions too differ

Only guns if remain silent
The peace can be present
No bloodshed shall ever be caused
The violence and unrest shall be paused
