On Its Arrival Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

On Its Arrival

On its arrival

When it strikes with force
I chose
To go out
And wonder about

Who gives them such power?
Such as to rainy shower
Where from thunder comes?
And we all rely and welcome

Yes our complete survival
Depends on its arrival
If no shower or rain
There shall be out cry in open

We will raise hands
And pray for an early end
To end drought
With nothing more to be sought

We are aware
And know the nature
It shall never harm
But keeps us happy and warm
