Qadris Taimour

Rookie (April 2nd 1962 / Karachi, Pakistan)

On loss

There was no pain
except the dullness of an empty space
an absence of feeling
a nothingness

I am free and abandoned
free from what was
and what was to be.

Free to taste,
the edge of painlessness

Free into not being

Free
