On Rereading My Poems



Tuesday morning, April 25, 2023

On rereading my poems,
I feel a certain sadness rise up
inside of me. "This poem, perhaps,
is the only place we will ever truly meet",
I think to myself. "The world is too much
for us to overcome, to realize our dreams."
