On The Wings Of Poesy I Will Soar Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

I will visit the sands, the hills,
The mountains and the seas,
Leaving my house
And my past memories.

Leaving the memories
Of my old days
I will go out only to find
The light of happiness.

There my mind will play
With the boundless sky
Like an uncaged bird
That flies and songs in joy.

In the sky of happy dream
I will fly on my poetic wings
As the eagle flies over the cloud
To protect itself from thunder and rain.

On the wings of poesy
In the sky of eternity I will soar
Only to reach paradise
From where I'll return no more.
