I stand tall and free
Without Death
Terrorizing my soul.
For those who die in faith
Shall rise again
Dead are not forgot
Asleep in quiet fields of repose.
God's love makes them free
And they shall enter Paradise
Blessed as angels... one by one.
for a believer death is not the end...and nothing but a long awaited freind come to lead the awy to a better tommorrow.beautiful.
beyond each step is another beyond each life is another propelling us towards the hilt of higher essence
when i as little i used to believe that when i saw a patch of the sun's rays peeking through dense clouds in the sky, that it was a person's soul being brought up to heaven, knowing that their bodies would join it one day. thanks for writing this, it's really good
In ten terse lines, you succinctly stated the fundamental principle of most Christian religions, Colin, and quite eloquently at that. Your words in this poem were well chosen, and like a fellow Englishman of yours once said, brevity is the soul of wit. Carl.
