One Last Chance Poem by V. T. Bullock

One Last Chance

What am I to do?
All these feelings are so new.
I think I’m falling for you.
I like your style,
You make me smile.
I haven’t felt like this for a while
But this is so strange
Do I really want our friendship to change?
Although, maybe there is something we could arrange.

Well we tried it out
And I don’t think I can stay on this route.
This is what it’s about:
I don’t think I’m ready for the relationship discussed
I have issues with trust
And this is a must.
You lied to me
And this can’t be
Right now, the truth is what I see.

Truth is an unwritten rule
So please don’t be so cruel
Don’t use your quick thinking as a tool
You have one more chance
So take your stance.
If you want to make the a real romance
I’m listening
This is your christening
While these stars are glistening.
