One More Kiss Poem by Randy McClave

One More Kiss

I don't wish for an apology
From the lies that she said to and about me,
I don't even need a wink or a wave
I have already forgave.

I don't wish for or want a hug
From her when I have originally received a shrug,
And I don't need a curtsy or a handshake
For goodness sake.

I don't need or wish for a handwritten letter
Where's she's telling me, hoping I am feeling better,
I don't wish for anything to hear or read
Which is explaining to me what I want or need.

I don't wish for an explanation or any reasoning
As a expensive turkey would need seasoning,
All that I truly wish for and miss
Was one more kiss.
