One Thing Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

One Thing

One Thing

there's one thing in my mind
of a very serious kind

by the way
this is not a haiku,
nor a senryu

nor a Tanka
ála Sylvia

also not a Fata Morgana
or a utopia

just a usual
daily ritual

my meditation moments,
ah, that's the very serious kind
in my mind,

my meditation-
prayer moments
all so transparent
my talking to God,
of course, it's not odd,

One Thing

Beautiful write. Nicely crafted. Loved it.

Talking to God is not odd except for those who are in the throes of despair and tear their hair because they think He is not there.
