Only A Fool Poem by Ella Lazaare

Only A Fool

Rating: 3.7

I'm the only one who sees you for what you are
Desperate, hopeless, lost
What ever happened to your heart?
Left to burn in the frost

Remember the way the skin felt
Desperate, hopeless, lost
Breathe in your ear and watch you melt
Never saw the true cost

You were a fool when you thought it would never end
Desperate, hopeless, lost
All alone, impossible to defend
Only a fool would have let him in

Beautiful rendition of words embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm. An insightful poem nicely brought forth with conviction. Thanks for sharing Ella.
