I Wear A Ring Poem by Ella Lazaare

I Wear A Ring

Rating: 4.5

Once upon a time when you were my friend
I noticed this amazing thing
Smoothly circling your finger without end
I discovered your amazing ring

Uneven yet smooth, you'd carved it by hand
I stared at this amazing thing
Watching me closely, you could understand
I tried on your amazing ring

Who could have known that half a year after
I first saw this amazing thing
That you'd love me, filling my days with laughter
While you wore your amazing ring

But then you would rapidly lose your mind
And I watched that amazing thing
While you left all your sanity behind
I just studied your amazing ring

You left me wrapped up in your twisted love
Yet here's the amazing thing
Despite every hug, kiss, strangle, shove
I still wear your amazing ring
