Only with you does my heart feel at home
After so many years
And so long a time
It is only with you that I feel whole
I never knew how love could feel
I thought it was a myth
Just a fairy tale
But now I see it is real
It amazes me that you see
Not what I am
Not my mistakes
But what I hope to be
I stumbled on the ground
You saw me walking
Not knowing what I had
By you, I was found
You taught me to stretch my wings
With something in your I eyes
I couldn’t understand why
You made me feel I could do anything
At first I was afraid to try at all
But you showed me how
With you arms reaching out
You would catch me if I was to fall
For that and so much more
I appreciate you so much
And see you for who you are
What else can I do, but try to soar
