Open Letter Abridged [a Lament] Poem by T. M. Watts

Open Letter Abridged [a Lament]

I am going to miss you,
quite a bit.

Why do I like you?
There’s no one thing.

You have seen my faults and fears.
In you I saw good.

With people we appreciate, we hope paths cross again.
You may manage to avoid that fate.
But, true friendships are mutual,
and I feel our spirits resonate.

You cannot lose me.
Throw me aside, I’ll eventually ricochet.

This rambling is to say that I will miss you,
and pray you stay my friend.
