Opportunities Poem by Miranda Weller

Opportunities

I have so much on my mind, but I can never find the time. My opportunities are passing by, sometimes I feel so shy. The things I wish you knew, I am afraid to fight for you. My heart beats faster in your presence teaching me one of life’s lessons. I don’t want you to be with her, I wish I was still your baby girl. Every time it’s just us two I cannot help to stare at you. Smiles fill the room every time you come through I miss you already when you’ve only just left, I am worried about you and scared to death. How I wish I could say these things to you, but for now they will remain in my dreams.
