Ordinary Rhymer Poem by Francis Duggan

Ordinary Rhymer

Just an ordinary rhymer my sort are not rare
And in rhyme i have memories with others to share
In a materially oriented World a never do well
Yet like everyone else i have stories to tell
We all have our stories to tell in some way
And tomorrow's memory will be of today
In an age when self promotion is the in thing
So many their own praises do love to sing
And their own life achievements in their words celebrate
To self in their stories they can only relate.
