Oscoda, Michigan Memories Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Oscoda, Michigan Memories

Rating: 5.0

golden fried doughnuts
ice cream made of new snowfall
backyard starlit woods

moonlight children's tales
still lingering in my mind
Halloween treat bags

adopted kitties
a Christmas tree from the woods
homemade ornaments

bluebirds passing by
saffron sun low in the sky
happy childhood days

How tenderly and beautifully written these childhood memories are! Just if happiness were softly drizzling from a luminous star.

We used to cut our own Christmas trees, too. Now illegal in some areas.
