Shalom Freedman (Troy New York)
Others Are and Will Be More Immortal Than Me
They have been filmed at earlier times of their lives
There are records of how they looked and spoke
Which are digitalized for the foreseeable future-
My life has gone unrecorded
How I looked and spoke through the years
Will never be seen or known-
I let myself die
When I could easily have provided
Material for my remembrance-
Others are and will be more immortal than me
However my words more remembered or not-
I thought so much about my ‘remembrance'
But I missed the technical tricks
And because of this ‘failed'-
I could have given and left far more of myself
And I did not-
Perhaps no one will care
And it does not matter
But it was a goal of mine
Means were available
And I failed to properly make use of them-
I could have given more of myself
And I did not.
