You know that saying 'you had me at hello '

that's some bullshit, how am i supposed to know?

Gettin caught up without a clue

if you loved me shouldn't i know too

sounds like a mistake from the start

so how does it end with a broken heart

we don't have to make it so dramatic

it's not black or white not automatic

i'm not running away when things get tough

i'm here to tell you, you've got my love

and if i really did have your heart

then you won't let us break apart

Just seems to me we can be better friends

talk to each other and make amends
