Our Last Day? Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Our Last Day?

Time is a Set Period in our World,
Whether in Seconds, Minutes, Hours or Days,
We cannot change how long it lasts,
But our Lives, we can always appraise.

When we are busy and have things to do,
It passes ever so quick,
But in times of boredom we do find
The Clock Hands seem to stick.

It is Human Nature to get bored,
And to mull in thoughts now dour,
To make the Good Times seem bad,
And make the Atmosphere sour.

Why can we not always be glad
That we are still alive?
For in this great vast world of ours,
We must continue to survive.

As the Hours tick by, and we do age,
As our Lifespan ebbs away,
Let us fulfil our Dreams and Life again,
In case Today is our Last Day.
